Program Description
The Prompt Quality Painting Journeyman Program is being offered to Vocational Schools across Western Pennsylvania. Our Journeyman Program is a 4-year program, it is designed to start a student’s 10th grade year and extend a year beyond graduation. Working for Prompt won’t be easy, but if you’re still reading you’ve decided the work is worth the reward. If we haven’t scared you off yet, we know who you are. You are an individual who invites hard work, and most of all takes pride in their craft. Welcome aboard!
Program Details:
During the 1st school year students will be required to shadow and work alongside a Prompt Quality Painting (PQP) mentor. The minimum shadowing requirement would be 1 weekend with a maximum of 2. Students that can maintain program certifications and a C+ GPA can be offered a paid internship, during the winter break, summer, and other holiday breaks. Students that have proven an appropriate skill set will be given the opportunity to learn hands on a real site. Other students may be offered a paid internship or summer employment. Students who choose to shadow the minimum weekends a month may be asked to increase shadow more during the winter to increase their experience and adaptability in the field.
Year 2, students are now shadowing roughly 3x a quarter and are utilizing their book knowledge and applying it physically. Students will learn a range of skills from general carpentry, flooring installation, framing, electrical and more. Students that show perilous in a particular area will have the opportunity to take on more projects in that area.
Year 3 (senior year) students will be presented with the opportunity to utilize work release and work alongside our ‘A Team’ of master craftsmen. Learning skills on the job in a fast-paced environment. Year 3, ties together book knowledge as well as the tips and tricks the student has accumulated over the last three years.
Year 4, you’ve now become a Journeyman, congratulations! As you step into this role students will be presented a pay increase, with this increase comes the opportunity to handle projects on their own leading a crew of men to the finish line. This program will continue from sophomore year concluding one year prior to graduation. Now you’re a Journeyman!

We are a painting company but pride ourselves on being a full-service company. Serving our customers in remodeling, custom carpentry, demolition, historical rehabilitation, electrical repair, licensed to remediate asbestos, lead, and mold, we treat and repair fire & water damage and COVID—19 Sanitation. Full service goes beyond work. At Prompt we host community events quarterly, events are free to employees. Our events range from kids’ crafts, DIY Classes and more!
How long does it last?
4 years, starting 10th grade year.
What are the requirements?
Students must maintain a C + GPA, any students in the CTC will be required to maintain certifications offered by the CTC.
Can you make MONEY??
YES! Laborer wages starting $13 – $16.
Salary is based on experience. There will be OJT and annual reviews.

Program Description
Our goal is to take a Decorating Intern and allow them to explore firsthand each step in the design process. Our intern will be responsible for managing an active jobsite, budget, and consulting clients on design ideas. This provides the intern with an added edge of knowing the real boundaries when asked to recreate a space.
